The vision of the Haggai project was birthed following an all church prayer and fasting initiative. It involves bringing the focus of Cornerstone to the highest priority of our work… Souls for the Lord.
This Capital Campaign will provide the structure to raise the needed funds for our future facility. It will do so by keeping our church family focused on the Place, the Purpose & the Prayer.
Read through the two chapters of Haggai and allow the Holy Spirit to stir your heart as He stirred the hearts of the people of Israel to action for the glory of God. (Haggai 1:12-14)
The Place
According to the Word of God in the book of Haggai, the PLACE where God’s is worshipped and His Kingdom built was very important to Him. The Israelites were told to build His house, so that he would "take pleasure in it and be honored." (1:8)
Today, we believe that God’s presence dwells in the heart of men and women, but His house continues to be important. We prepare His house as we expect His pleasure and blessing.
The Haggai Project calls His people at Cornerstone to sacrificially give toward our future facility so that we will be prepared to house God’s blessing of souls. In faith, we are believing God for the salvation of our community as we give toward this vision.
The Purpose
Like the Lord Jesus, who came to seek and save the lost, we as His church belong to His Mission. The purpose of the Haggai Project is focused at reaching more souls.
As the foundation and guide to our vision, we are Connecting people to God and each other, provide Spiritual Coaching through small growth groups, and release God’s Calling upon every life through new birth in Jesus.
The Prayer
Prayer is the indicator of our faith and dependence upon God. Jesus said in John 15:5, "apart from me you can do nothing." As we trust God in giving toward this vision, our faith will be stretched, requiring us to become wholly dependent upon the work of God through us. The promise of God in Haggai is that as we take care of His House, He will take care of our homes, and provide for our families. This requires faith!
Our Giving Campaign Goals
We are making a 2-year goal to raise up to $200,000 for the relocation of our church into another facility. During this process we each sacrifice equally, while giving according to the directing and provision of the Lord.
The 3rd Sunday of each month will be dedicated toward our building fund, which includes our current and future facilities. Online giving options will also provide avenues for giving toward this campaign, as well as regular tithes/offering, & missions.
Making an Impact One Life at a Time "The future glory of this house will be greater than its past glory," says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. "And in this place I will bring peace..." (Haggai 2:9)
Making a Pledge
Many who have never been a part of a campaign of faith giving, struggle to understand the part they will play. Below are some simple steps that may help you discover how God is leading you to contribute. Click here to Make a Pledge online.
1. UNDERSTAND THE VISION & THE NEED You need to understand what you are giving toward, why there is a need and how your contributions will make a difference. Once that happens, allow God’s vision to grip your heart and stir your spirit.
2. ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT HOW HE WILL USE YOU IN THIS VISION Spending time in prayer and truly asking the Holy Spirit how he wants you to proceed is critical. The Scriptures teach that the Lord provides seed to the sower. If God deposits an amount in your heart, He will provide the funds necessary to give. If you are married, pray together and proceed in unity.
3. FOLLOW-THROUGH AS GOD PROVIDES God will provide so that you can give toward His vision both through normal income, as well as through miraculous provision. When He does, give it to Him and encourage others with how He provided for you to give.
